Parents Warned to Supervise Children at Beaches
Police in Lancashire have issued a warning to parents after receiving multiple reports of missing children at beaches during a recent heatwave, where temperatures reached 24C. Fylde Police emphasized the dangers of unsupervised children near water and highlighted that such incidents are “completely avoidable,” detracting from police and coastguard resources. They advised parents to supervise their children, remind them about safety, take photos of them, and establish meeting points in case anyone gets lost.
