Police block protests in Venezuela over wage and pension demands

Union leaders, retirees, and public sector workers in Caracas protested for higher wages and better pensions, facing police blockades as they marched toward the presidential palace. This demonstration followed acting President Delcy Rodriguez’s appeal for patience while her government works on economic improvements. Venezuela’s minimum wage has remained stagnant at 130 bolivars, or $0.27 a month, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among workers, many of whom struggle to meet basic needs.
