No charges filed in fatal crash involving Walkerton students and teacher

Seven months after a tragic crash that claimed the lives of four young women and their teacher returning to Walkerton, Ont. from a softball tournament, police have concluded their investigation without laying any charges. The collision occurred on May 24 when their vehicle hit a transport truck and an SUV at a two-way stop intersection near London. OPP Sgt. Ed Sanchuk extended condolences to the victims’ families, as the community mourns their loss. The transport truck driver and SUV occupants sustained minor injuries.
