PM honours Navy submarine crew who broke world record after spending 204 days at sea

A ROYAL Navy nuclear-armed submarine, HMS Vanguard, completed a record-breaking 204-day patrol, surpassing the previous record set by HMS Vengeance. The crew, including sailors who missed significant life milestones, were welcomed back by PM Boris Johnson, who praised their silent service. Sir Keir Starmer will visit Barrow-in-Furness to lay the keel for the next generation nuclear submarines and announce the conferment of the “Royal” title to the Port of Barrow in recognition of its vital role in national security.
