Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced plans to open offices in different countries to assist foreign investors interested in investing in India, starting with the inauguration of an Invest India office in Singapore. This move aims to strengthen economic cooperation with Singapore and the broader ASEAN region, with the goal of providing seamless access to India’s growing economy for global investors. India attracted $11.77 billion FDI from Singapore in 2023-24, making it the largest source of foreign investments for India, and the Invest India office will facilitate business engagement and participation in India’s industrial development.
