Pierre Brooks helps Butler rebound with win against WMU

Butler Bulldogs defeated Western Michigan 85-65 at Hinkle Fieldhouse with a standout performance from Pierre Brooks II, who scored 20 points with four 3-pointers. Augusto Cassia had a career-high 16 points after being inserted into the starting line-up by coach Thad Matta, helping Butler limit turnovers to 11 while shooting 10-21 from 3-point range and recording 21 assists. Western Michigan’s Donovan Williams led with 17 points and nine rebounds, but the Broncos struggled from beyond the arc, shooting 4-22, as Butler dominated the second half to secure the win.
