Oscar Piastri Wins Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
A brilliant opening manoeuvre by Oscar Piastri allowed him to win the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, marking the first time an Australian has led the Formula One drivers’ championship in 15 years. Piastri overtook Max Verstappen at the start, who later received a five-second penalty, enabling Piastri to maintain his lead and finish ahead of Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. With this victory, Piastri has secured 99 points, leading the championship, and McLaren has extended their lead in the constructors’ standings as the next race approaches in Miami on May 4.
