Pharmacies to reduce opening hours and withdraw key services in funding row

Pharmacies are planning to change their opening hours and potentially withdraw key services, such as emergency contraception and stop smoking programs, due to underfunding. This decision comes after an unprecedented vote by pharmacists, with the National Pharmacy Association stating that members have been pushed into this position by a lack of adequate government funding. Over 3,000 independent community pharmacies in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland participated in the ballot, with a 64% turnout.
