Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth visited the U.S. Navy base at Guantánamo Bay in Cuba to observe the Trump administration’s migrant detention operations, including housing detainees in the war against terrorism. Arriving with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, he received a briefing on the base’s prison facilities, where 15 foreign men from the war on terrorism are held, including those charged in death penalty cases for Al Qaeda’s attacks. The visit coincided with the arrival of nine migrants for deportation, part of a much-reduced operation compared to Mr. Hegseth’s previous deployments at the base.
