Boluarte, Peru’s first female president, has faced investigations into protest-related deaths and alleged illicit enrichment.
The Constitutional Court of Peru has suspended investigations into President Dina Boluarte, including her response to protests that resulted in over 60 deaths, until her term ends in 2026. Despite facing multiple probes, including allegations of illicit enrichment and dereliction of duty, Boluarte denies wrongdoing and calls for new elections in March.
