A man was shot by a Chicago police officer in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood after officers responded to a call of an individual with a weapon. The officer fired at least one shot, injuring the man who was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The Civilian Office for Police Accountability is investigating the incident, and the officer involved has been placed on administrative duties for 30 days.
