Facing a potential long wait for a council home, she is among the rising number of homeless older people in England. Despite receiving housing benefit and pension credit, she struggled to find suitable accommodation and had to rely on the council for help after waiting for bailiffs to evict her to avoid being labeled “intentionally homeless.”
