Hugh Saunders, a retired pottery painter, tragically took his own life after being a victim of fraud where £20,000 was stolen from his bank account. Despite being reimbursed by Barclays, he was suffering from dementia and believed the issue persisted, leaving a note indicating his intention to go to Rudyard Lake. Following a search, his body was found in the lake, and the coroner concluded that his death was a suicide due to drowning, as evidenced by the note and his declining health condition.
