Dozens of passengers at Manchester Airport were left waiting in a stairwell while their Jet2 flight to Alicante departed without them due to an error in boarding directions. Despite showing their passports and having their boarding passes scanned, they were left confused for up to 40 minutes before being informed the plane had left. Jet2 has apologized and is investigating the incident while providing affected passengers with vouchers and alternative flight arrangements. One passenger described the situation as “bizarre” and felt it resembled a scene from a comedy show.
