Parliament suspended following haka by Te Pati Māori MPs

Te Pati Māori co-leader Debbie Ngawera-Packer, along with other MPs, interrupted Parliament proceedings to perform a haka in front of ACT Party MPs during a vote on the Treaty of Waitangi principles bill. The haka led to the suspension of Parliament by Speaker Gerry Brownlee. ACT Party leader David Seymour expressed views on the bill, emphasizing the importance of equal rights and common humanity in addressing societal challenges, while Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was absent.
