Parents are charged after their son, 7, is struck dead in a car accident

The parents of 7-year-old Legend, who died after being struck by a Jeep in Gastonia, North Carolina, were charged with involuntary manslaughter for allowing him and his 10-year-old brother to walk home unsupervised from a nearby grocery store. Witnesses reported that Legend stepped into traffic while his brother tried to hold him back, and the driver, a 76-year-old man, will not face charges as there was no evidence of wrongdoing.
