Pacific Coast Highway reopens after Southern California wildfires

The Pacific Coast Highway in Los Angeles reopened nearly a month after the Palisades Fire, with limited lanes and speed restrictions, essential traffic only advised. Proof-of-residence still required for entry into the burn zone. LAPD transferring Palisades access to CHP and National Guard to increase citywide service, as rain forecasted may cause mud and debris hazards on the highway.
