BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. Over 4,800 private houses in Kazakhstan have been flooded as a result of a natural disaster, according to senior officer Saipash Erasyl of the Civil Defense and Military Units Committee, as reported by Trend.
Currently, 4,870 private houses, 1,264 yard territories, and 2,035 summer cottage plots in eight regions are underwater. More than 3,000 houses and approximately 2,000 yard territories have had water pumped out.
Since the start of the floods, 107,119 people, including 38,457 children, have been evacuated. Currently, 7,414 individuals are housed in temporary accommodation centers, with 11,674 people already back home.
Eight regions in Kazakhstan remain under a local emergency regime due to the floods that began in March. Over 35,000 individuals, along with more than 4,000 pieces of equipment and 14 aircraft, are participating in rescue efforts.
