SUV crashes into drop-in centre, resulting in 1 death and 4 injuries

One person died and four others were injured when an SUV crashed into a drop-in center at Rideau and Cobourg streets in downtown Ottawa on Wednesday morning. The collision, which occurred around 9 a.m., critically injured a man in his 70s, who later succumbed to his injuries. Two other men sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while a woman was hospitalized in stable condition. The driver of the SUV was also injured and is in stable condition; the cause of the crash is under investigation.
