Quebec’s police ethics tribunal has suspended Montreal Police Const. Guillaume Joly-Tessier for 25 days without pay for using a justice of the peace’s stamp without her knowledge in the search for hit man Frédérick Silva. The suspension was imposed due to Joly-Tessier’s deceptive actions that aided in Silva’s arrest, leading to his conviction. The tribunal found Joly-Tessier’s conduct to be unethical and deserving of disciplinary action.
