Sam Wallace-Joseph has faced criticism for a post regarding the timing of International Transgender Day of Visibility coinciding with Easter Sunday.Super Netball is now investigating whether Wallace-Joseph violated the league’s code of conduct on social media.

Wallace-Joseph, a two-time NSW Swifts champion, shared a misleading headline implying that US President Joe Biden had changed the date of International Transgender Day of Visibility to Easter Sunday.

Despite backlash from fans, Wallace-Joseph defended her post on social media.

However, the club intervened, prompting the removal of the Instagram story and related tweets.

The Swifts and Super Netball affirmed their commitment to diversity and inclusion, emphasizing the importance of respecting all individuals.

The league’s guidelines emphasize the importance of upholding professionalism on social media and avoiding discriminatory content.

The Swifts have actively promoted LGBTQI+ inclusion through events like the Pride-themed match during Inclusion Round.

Despite the controversy, Proud2Play continues to collaborate with the Swifts to foster a more inclusive environment within the club.
