Nicki Lenway Survives Point-Blank Shooting Investigation into Suspect Ongoing

Nicole “Nicki” Lenway, a Minneapolis crime scene investigator, was shot twice at point-blank range while picking up her child on April 20, 2022. In her first interview, Lenway recounted the harrowing experience, stating, “Someone wanted me dead.” Bystander Emilie Clancy witnessed the shooting, rushed to help, and took over the 911 call, providing critical assistance until first responders arrived. Lenway survived, but the identity of her assailant remains unknown.
