NHL Coach Sets Historic Record Across All Major Pro Leagues in Stars-Avs

Dallas Stars head coach Pete DeBoer achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first coach in NHL, NBA, or MLB history to win nine Game 7s, with a perfect record of 9-0, after the Stars overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 in Game 7. The Stars scored four unanswered goals in the third period, highlighted by a hat trick from Mikko Rantanen and a game-winning goal from Wyatt Johnston. DeBoer, in his second season with Dallas, now has a playoff record of 92-76 and will lead the Stars into the next round against the winner of the Jets vs. Blues matchup.
