With 10 games of the season remaining, Newcastle sit 10th in the Premier League table, 16 points behind Aston Villa in fourth place, and at this point it’s not very likely they’ll qualify for Europe next term at all.

However, midfielder Bruno Guimaraes claims he and his teammates have made big steps in the right direction under Eddie Howe and believes things would’ve turned out differently for them had it not been for a large number of injuries in the squad.
