Soyuzivka Ukrainian Heritage Center in Kerhonkson, N.Y. is a former resort for Ukrainian Americans located in the Shawangunk Mountains. The center features a Carpathian-style roof and stone chimney, as well as streets named after famous Ukrainian figures and symbols. The grounds include park preserves, an outdoor chapel, tennis courts, and sculptures reflecting Ukrainian heritage. Visitors are greeted with Ukrainian flag bumper stickers and a license plate referencing Ukraine’s famous folk dance.
