New York Islanders defenseman Mike Reilly will undergo a heart procedure after a condition was discovered during concussion testing, landing him on injured reserve indefinitely. General manager Lou Lamoriello stated that it could be “several months” before Reilly returns to the ice, but his quality of life will be unaffected once the procedure is completed. Despite not recording any points this season, Reilly has been cleared from the concussion and will be able to play again in the future.
