The Brussels prosecutor’s office has appointed an investigating judge for a murder linked to drug trafficking following an incident on Saturday. Plans to intensify judicial investigations to dismantle criminal networks were emphasized by prosecutor Julien Moinil. Belgian Interior Minister Bernard Quintin called for new strict measures after an emergency meeting was scheduled in response to a shooting that paralyzed part of the Brussels metro network on Feb. 5.
