New review launched of VPD conduct in 2015 death of Myles Gray

The Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner (OPCC) is re-examining a discipline proceeding involving the 2015 death of Myles Gray after Vancouver police officers were found not to have committed misconduct. The OPCC is considering a further review by a retired judge and making recommendations for any concerns regarding the officers’ actions or the disciplinary process. The investigation, which started in 2015, was suspended during a criminal investigation and resumed in 2021, leading to a discipline proceeding that found no misconduct by the officers.
