New Orleans mourns as Bourbon Street reopens after truck-ramming attack

Crowds have returned to Bourbon Street in New Orleans following a deadly New Year’s Day attack where 14 victims were killed and 35 injured by a suspect inspired by ISIL. The city is on high alert for possible copycat attacks, with victims identified including a university student, aspiring nurse, father of two, and single mom. Despite the tragedy, the street has reopened for business with street performers and brass bands returning to bring a sense of normalcy and healing to the community.
