New Non-Invasive Brain Surgery Can Help Treat OCD – Asian Scientist Magazine

A group of researchers from South Korea have developed a non-invasive procedure called MRgFUS capsulotomy to treat OCD, with results lasting up to two years. Ten patients who underwent the surgery showed long-term improvements, with 70% responding well after 10 years. The lead researcher, Jin Woo Chang, suggests that MRgFUS may have applications in managing other psychiatric diseases due to its simplicity and safety.
