Netflix to Remove Interactive Titles

Netflix has announced the removal of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend from its platform on May 12, 2025, marking the end of its interactive storytelling era. Bandersnatch, released in 2018, allowed viewers to control the narrative of a young programmer’s psychological journey, while the 2020 Kimmy Schmidt special served as a series finale. Netflix’s focus now shifts to developing its game portfolio, as the technology behind choose-your-own-adventure formats is deemed limiting.
