NDP MPs Delayed by Weather in Returning to Ottawa

Most NDP MPs were stranded in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, due to weather-related travel issues and could not attend the return of Parliament in Ottawa. Interim leader Don Davies and three other MPs are in transit after their return flights were canceled. However, MPs Heather McPherson and Alexandre Boulerice are expected to be present in the House of Commons, while Manitoba MP Leah Gazan will participate virtually from Winnipeg. The NDP caucus plans to gather in Ottawa on Tuesday following a weekend of extreme cold across Canada.
