SINGAPORE’s National Day Parade (NDP) will, for the first time, include the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) in the guard of honour alongside the armed forces and police, underscoring their critical role in national safety. This year’s parade, celebrating Singapore’s 60th independence, will feature 40 marching and 18 civilian contingents, marking the largest participation in over 30 years, with approximately 2,100 participants expected.
