An extensive search for four-year-old Gus Lamont, who disappeared from his family’s homestead in South Australia’s Mid North on September 27, has not yielded any results. Despite a focused inspection of six nearby mine shafts, police found no evidence to aid in the investigation. Authorities had previously drained a dam to rule out drowning, following a large-scale search covering almost 500sq km. The family expressed their heartbreak, holding onto hope for Gus’s safe return.
