Mystery around missing ‘Gossip Girl’ actor deepens, with family, LAPD

Chanel Maya Banks, an actor known for her roles in “Gossip Girl” and “Blue Bloods,” was reported missing by her family on Nov. 8, but was later found safe in Texas on Nov. 11, according to the LAPD. Despite the LAPD’s confirmation of her safety, Banks’ cousin, Danielle Tori-Singh, insists that the woman found in Texas with Banks’ expired New York ID is not her cousin, leading to conflicting reports about her whereabouts. The GoFundMe created by Tori-Singh to aid in the search effort remains active, but Banks is no longer listed as a missing person in California.
