According to a survey by Tell Mama, a majority of Muslims in the UK feel that Islamophobia has increased since the summer riots, with 71% believing anti-Muslim hatred has become more widespread. While around half of respondents feel more open about their Muslim identity, 62% believe there is a higher risk of harm to Muslim communities. Despite concerns, 55% of those surveyed still feel safe in the UK, with many expressing fear and a desire for the government to address their safety concerns.
