Musk’s $56B Tesla compensation is rejected by judge, again

A Delaware judge ruled that Tesla CEO Elon Musk is not entitled to a $56 billion compensation package, despite a shareholder vote in June to reinstate it. Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick of the Court of Chancery stated that the pay package was excessive and rescinded it, leading to an appeal by Tesla. McCormick ordered Tesla to pay lawyers $345 million and highlighted Musk’s improper control of the 2018 board process.
