Sandie Bowen was murdered by her husband, Michael Bowen, who was jailed for life in 1998 but released in 2015 and recalled to custody twice. Despite being considered high risk, Bowen was granted parole, leading to outcry from Ms Bowen’s daughter, Anita Fox, who believes he should never have been released. Bowen, now known as Raymond Bowen, has never admitted to the murder, and his release was approved by the parole board despite concerns over his violent tendencies and inability to accept the end of relationships.
