A 27-year-old man, Akash Dattatray Mayin, was brutally thrashed and beaten to death by a mob in Mumbai’s Malad (East) in front of his family. The incident stemmed from a heated argument over a road incident where an auto driver, Avinash Kadam, and his accomplices attacked Akash. Nine accused, including Kadam, were arrested and charged with murder, with police attributing the incident to road rage turning violent.
