His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced the successful achievement of the Mothers’ Endowment campaign target. Launched on March 4, 2024, the campaign aimed to honor mothers by establishing a AED1 billion endowment fund to support education and training globally. Contributions exceeded the target of AED1 billion within a month, and Sheikh Mohammed confirmed that the campaign will continue to accept contributions year-round.

By the end of Ramadan, contributions to the campaign reached AED1.484 billion. Sheikh Mohammed expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response and emphasized the importance of honoring mothers. He highlighted the generosity of the UAE community and their commitment to supporting initiatives that empower individuals and communities sustainably.

The Mothers’ Endowment campaign received widespread community support, with thousands contributing to enhance education and training for underprivileged individuals. Major contributors included Azizi Developments, Sobha Realty Group, and West Zone Group, who pledged significant amounts towards establishing educational institutions as part of the campaign.

Reflecting the vision of Sheikh Mohammed, Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, emphasized the importance of education in building stable and prosperous communities. He expressed confidence in the campaign’s ability to achieve its goals and further solidify the UAE’s humanitarian role.

Accompanying events, such as charity auctions and initiatives to recognize contributors, helped the campaign reach its target swiftly. More than 230,000 participation certificates were issued to honor contributors’ mothers and promote the values of kindness and solidarity.

The success of the Mothers’ Endowment campaign reflects the UAE’s commitment to serving humanity and promoting sustainable development. Launched under MBRGI, the campaign follows the achievements of previous Ramadan campaigns, showcasing the nation’s dedication to supporting those in need.
