A mother finally rests
Linda Clary marked the sentencing of her son, John Umberger, who was murdered after moving to New York City for work, at La Goulue, one of his favorite restaurants. Despite his excitement for the city, his life was tragically taken, and Clary reflected on the painful moments of the trial, especially the surveillance footage of her son leaving a nightclub with his murderers. As she returns to North Carolina to focus on her family and future volunteer work in the LGBTQ community, Clary finds solace in her faith, believing she will reunite with her son one day.
