A recent Pew Research study reveals that despite the increasing prevalence of AI technologies in daily life, around 80% of American workers do not use AI at work, with only 6% believing it will create more job opportunities. The study also found that lower and middle-income workers are more pessimistic about AI’s impact on job opportunities, and most workers do not receive training related to AI use in the workplace. Overall, employees express concerns about the lack of clear vision from company leaders on how AI can enhance productivity, leading to skepticism and fear of potential job loss.
