More people are leaving Australia and not coming back as travel surges

In August, there was a significant increase in departures from Australia, reaching 1,694,440, with 11.7% more people leaving compared to the previous year. Short-term resident returns also rose by 6.8% to 916,980. Australians are traveling more frequently, with popular destinations being Indonesia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, showing a renewed confidence in international travel.
