Montreal Carabins defeat Saint Mary’s Huskies to reach Vanier Cup

Mathieu Barsalou scored four touchdowns as the Montreal Carabins triumphed over the Saint Mary’s Huskies 49-19 in the Uteck Bowl. The Carabins will compete against the Saskatchewan Huskies in the Vanier Cup after Saskatchewan defeated Queen’s University 22-11 in the Mitchell Bowl. Quarterback Pepe Gonzalez completed 18 of 26 passes for 168 yards, contributing one touchdown and one interception. Montreal dominated the game, leading 22-2 at halftime and maintaining their strong performance throughout.
