His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, revealed the annual results of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative’s (MBRGI) Year in Review report for 2023. MBRGI, the largest humanitarian and aid organization in the region, allocated AED 1.8 billion to projects that positively impacted 111 million people in 105 countries worldwide.

The success of MBRGI in 2023 can be attributed to an increase in beneficiaries by 9 million compared to 2022, and an expansion of social and aid programs to cover 105 countries, five more than the previous year. This has solidified MBRGI’s position as the largest regional network for humanitarian, aid, development, and social work.

The announcement of the Year in Review report was made following a meeting of MBRGI’s Board of Trustees at the Dubai Opera, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and attended by various dignitaries.

During a special ceremony at the Dubai Opera, attended by key figures, MBRGI’s achievements for 2023 were highlighted, including reports on the Mothers’ Endowment campaign and recognition of major contributors.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized that MBRGI’s efforts have impacted 111 million people in 105 countries, ushering in new chapters of hope and progress in their lives. He expressed the importance of extending support to underprivileged individuals and communities to promote progress and solidarity globally.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian work and highlighted the country’s role as a beacon of hope and philanthropy. He emphasized the importance of spreading hope and noble values, in line with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of MBRGI, commended the organization’s achievements in reaching 111 million people in 105 countries in 2023. He acknowledged the efforts of MBRGI staff and volunteers in making a tangible difference in people’s lives across the globe.
