Microsoft announced that it successfully detected and mitigated a record-breaking distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack targeting a single endpoint in Australia. The attack peaked at 5.72 terabits per second (Tbps) and 3.64 billion packets per second (pps), making it the largest DDoS attack recorded in the cloud.
