Three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen criticized Peter Wright’s World Darts Championship claims as “nonsense” and called Luke Littler’s form a “disappointment.” Van Gerwen advanced to the quarter-finals where he will face unseeded Callan Rydz, who has been performing exceptionally well with the highest tournament averages so far. Van Gerwen also commented on tournament favourite Luke Littler’s performance, noting that Littler has been dropping sets despite being considered a strong contender.
