Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum addressed a letter from Google regarding the controversy over renaming the Gulf of Mexico to “Gulf of America” on Trump’s orders. Sheinbaum expressed disagreement with the name change, citing the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. Google responded by offering to meet with the Mexican government, and Sheinbaum stated that if no resolution is reached, Mexico will take the matter to court.
