President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico strongly criticized President Trump’s imposition of 25% tariffs on Mexico, rejecting his characterization of the country and threatening retaliatory tariffs if the situation persists. She highlighted Mexico’s efforts in combating drug trafficking and emphasized the need for mutual responsibility in addressing the opioid crisis, urging unity and calmness in facing the crisis and defending Mexico’s sovereignty.
