Sir Nick Clegg is stepping down from his role as global affairs president at Meta, Facebook’s parent company, stating that it is the right time for him to move on. He has been acting as a bridge between the worlds of technology and politics since joining the firm in 2018, following his loss as an MP in 2017. Former Republican White House deputy chief of staff Joel Kaplan will replace Sir Nick, who served under George W Bush from 2006 to 2009.
